Mrs. Loveleen "Dee" Perkins
General Chairman - Life Members Council, Women's Home and Overseas Missionary Society
 Dee’s has worked in Zion for more than 36 years as President/Chairman of many organizations, working in positions at the local, district, conference and connectional level giving her a clear understanding of what’s required and needed to assist in moving our denomination to the next level.
Dee and her family worship at the Union Wesley A.M.E. Zion Church of Washington, DC where Rev. Dr. Alvin Durant is the pastor.
God has blessed her in so many ways, that throughout her life her love has been to volunteer for various organizations, those organizations that will continue to give back to the community.
In August 2, 2007 in Orlando, Florida, Dee was victoriously elected as the 11th General Chairman, Life Members Council of the Women’s Home and Overseas Missionary Society of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. God has blessed her in an extraordinary way to lead significant department in the life of the Women’s Home and Overseas Missionary Society!
She is married to John D. Perkins, and together they have three daughters; Lisa, Jeanene and Sherry. Her eight grandchildren are her precious “little people”…being a grandmother is truly a blessing and a gift from God!
She is striving to be, “clothed in strength and honor and will rejoice in time to come. She is striving to speak so that her words are wise, and on her tongue is the law of kindness.” Proverbs 31:25-26
