Mrs. Barbara J. Epps
General Superintendent Buds of Promise, Women's Home and Overseas Missionary Society
 Ms. Barbara Jean Epps is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina and the second of four children of Maggie Bunch Epps and the late Lucius Epps. Barbara has a genuine love for children and has been abundantly blessed with the creative ability to reach and teach them on their individual levels.
A lifelong member of the O’Zion AME Zion Church in Charlotte, she serves in several capacities including: Director of Christian Education, Financial Secretary and Sunday School Teacher.
Barbara was educated in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools; Rutledge Business School and Montreat College. She is employed by the City of Charlotte as the Training and Development Coordinator. Ms. Epps was elected the12th General Superintendent of the Buds of Promise Juvenile Missionary Society at the Twenty-Sixth Quadrennial Convention of the Women's Home and Overseas Missionary Society of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Orlando, FL in 2007.
A strong advocate for children, Barbara builds on the unique gifts and abilities of each child, inspiring them to serve Christ as juvenile missionaries in the Buds of Promise Missionary Society.
