Establish local P3s (Prayer-Praise Parties) Download YAMS P3 Party Flyer
The P3 is a worship experience that will allow the YAMS to focus on the second component of our theme which is “Prayer and Fasting”. YAMS will be encouraged to fast for seven (7) hours before the worship experience takes place. When the group gathers together, one hour will be spent in prayer with the following hour being spent in fellowship and praise. During this time, the members will eat and discuss topics of interest (i.e. The SPF Technique, the Bible Study lesson or Testimonies) which is the praise component.

YAMS EMPOWERMENT RETREAT – APRIL 22, 2010:
I am so excited to update you on the YAMS Empowerment Retreat to be held April 22, 2010 which will lead us into the WH&OMS Leadership Institute April 22-25, 2010 in Black Mountain, North Carolina.
See the Events Page of the website for more information.
We will begin with an Inspirational Brunch for which you are to dress casually in your jogging suits and gym shoes since we were in a “spiritual relay” the first year. We will then have workshops focusing on our upcoming theme, “Purpose and Power” and on our program focus which is Spiritual, Physical, and Emotional Wellness (the SPF Technique).
Ladies, we can't at stop with that! We will have a special YAMS choir which will minister at the opening worship service in which the YAMS are in charge. All YAMS and Coordinators are asked to were peach and taupe for that evening service were all of the Missionaries will come together to open our Leadership Institute for 2010.
The YAMS will participate in a service project while we are in route to the Empowerment Retreat; we will join with the non-profit agency Soles4Souls in the purchasing of shoes for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. We are asking all YAMS and friends of YAMS to give $5.00 for shoes. We are asking that you collect as much as possible from those that will not be attending and their names. We will give our donations and sign the paper shoes which will be displayed at the retreat center. All proceeds will then be sent to Soles4Souls who will send new shoes to those in need in Haiti. We ask that you join us in this mission project.
I pray that as many young adults and YAMS Coordinators are able to join us for the entire weekend. We are looking “mountain top experience” with our Savior because with Jesus, “We Got the Power!”
I look forward to seeing you on the mountaintop.
Sisterly yours,
Dawn Walker
General YAMS Coordinator
